This month’s local business spotlight shines on Feed Your Soul Fitness, a family-owned and operated boutique training studio in Mountain View. Owned by Brandy and Sven Martin, Feed Your Soul Fitness offers a welcoming, client-focused approach to fitness. I had the pleasure of interviewing Brandy for this feature.
Feed Your Soul Fitness specializes in small group training, group classes, personal training, and nutrition coaching. Unlike “no pain, no gain” or high-intensity gyms, their focus is on beginner and intermediate training, emphasizing proper form and each client’s individual goals. They celebrated their 11th anniversary at the beginning of 2025—a testament to their dedication to the community and their craft.
Brandy and Sven, both passionate entrepreneurs, saw a need for a niche fitness studio in the community. Brandy’s background in yoga, anatomy, and breathing inspired the foundation of the gym, offering services that stand apart from big-name fitness chains. Their studio is strength-training focused, an increasingly popular approach, rather than prioritizing high-intensity interval training (HIIT) or boot camp-style workouts. Small group training classes are capped at six participants, while their regular group classes accommodate 17 or fewer, allowing trainers to provide personalized feedback and tailored recommendations based on each client’s needs and history.
Feed Your Soul Fitness works closely with local physical therapists, who often refer clients to the studio once physical therapy is complete. Many people transitioning from PT aren't ready for high-intensity gym programs, making Feed Your Soul Fitness an essential resource for gradual, sustainable progress.
The studio also offers “Soul Fit Nutrition Coaching,” led by a Registered Dietitian with a Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition. Services include guidance on disease prevention, weight management, gut health, macro coaching, and overall lifestyle improvement.
Brandy and her team pride themselves on creating a welcoming, non-competitive, and inclusive environment where individuals of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels feel comfortable. Their trainers are approachable and highly skilled, ensuring clients always feel supported. Feed Your Soul Fitness is also deeply committed to the local community, frequently volunteering and contributing to causes. In 2024, they raised $6,000 for Feeding the Future through the Turkey Trot.

Brandy loves wearing many hats as a business owner, including class trainer, staff coach, marketer, community outreach coordinator, and more. She and Sven are dedicated to fostering a sense of community in their studio, striving to make a difference in each member’s life. They find it incredibly rewarding to witness clients’ progress and be part of their fitness journeys.
As a private training studio, Feed Your Soul Fitness encourages appointments rather than walk-ins to ensure a dedicated orientation experience. New members can take advantage of a free trial, and the studio also offers free community classes and workshops on a regular basis.
I first met Brandy and Sven through a past client and our involvement in the Mountain View community. Their studio is truly unique, and you’d be missing out by not checking it out!
