Local Business Spotlight: Cheese Meat Board, Owned by Melanie Flint

This month's small business spotlight is featuring Cheese Meat Board, owned by Melanie Flint! Melanie has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality & catering industry. She came up with the idea for her business after hearing many customers wanting something "smaller & nice" like they get at catered events, so they can avoid the basic, pre-made platters from the grocery store.

Cheese Meat Board is a women-owned business! Melanie is a Denver native and hostess at heart. She loves to go the extra mile to exceed client's expectations! Her past experience in hospitality and catering allows her to make recommendations for clients, as well as giving them the best overall experience.

Melanie founded Cheese Meat Board in 2019. She started with smaller platters and boxes to feed 5-20 people; however, once COVID hit, she had to get creative. She introduced individual boxes, 2-person boxes and cones the following year. Cheese Meat Board now has an extensive variety of boards, cones and boxes to accommodate everyones' needs!

Melanie and her company pride themselves on the quality of their charcuterie. They include all the accoutrements (olives, fig jam, dried fruit, etc) and try to keep their boards unique by using items that are not commonly found in grocery stores. They use high quality products and put tremendous care into each board. No two boards/boxes are the same! One of Melanie's favorite parts of the job is the presentation of the boards. She loves being able to play around with the colors and foods to make a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing board. Cheese Meat Board is a great use for any event! They commonly supply for networking events, happy hours, weddings, corporate catering, birthdays and smaller parties.

July 1st, 2022, Melanie and her team were able to move out of their shared kitchen space and open up a store front in downtown Denver! They offer walk-ins, same day ordering and sandwiches (in-store only). They also offer delivery and pick up service. They deliver 7 days a week and have pick ups Monday-Saturday. They can do a quick turn around and supply a same day order! Check out their delivery zones below, and if you're not inside the zone, don't worry, you can still do a pick up order!

Cheese Meat Board prides themselves on their communication, reliability and customer service. Melanie has a a great team working for her and states, "We are happy people! We love our jobs and love having people stop by!"

I ordered a small charcuterie board and s'mores kit from them for my engagement this past fall. After Kayty said yes, I took her on a date, where we had charcuterie, steaks and then finished with our super cute s'mores kit while looking at downtown Denver. I can attest to how convenient and high quality all of their items are. They delivered everything to my house which made it super easy for me while trying to plan out timing for everything else with the engagement to go well that day. I am kind of picky with charcuterie and their stuff is some of the best, most fresh and reasonably priced for the quality level! I highly recommend them! In fact, we are having them supply charcuterie cones to our wedding in the next few weeks. :)
